Have you ever cited published work from the LESLLA proceedings? If you have, then you’ve probably faced the question of what to do when it comes to formatting the citation and referring to LESLLA! Board members Jenna Altherr Flores and Naeema Hann we have created a useful citation style guide.

Van 3 tot en met 6 oktober 2018 vond het veertiende LESLLA Symposium plaats. LESLLA staat voor tweedetaalverwerving en alfabetisering in een tweede taal door analfabete en laagopgeleide volwassenen.

‘Ik ben alleen met alle kinderen en de twee oma’s. Ik doe alles. Dat is moeilijk, maar mijn talent is helpen. Helpen zit in mijn systeem.’ Deze mooie en pakkende woorden spreekt Hawa uit in haar persoonlijke digital story. Veronique Van Wassenbergh vertelt hoe cursisten van hun verhalen een filmpje kunnen maken. Digital storytelling is een methodiek waarbij cursisten geïntegreerd en functioneel werken aan verschillende vaardigheden en sleutelcompetenties.

Membership to LESLLA is new!  A large group of symposium attendees met in October 2018 in Palermo, Italy, and generated a list of priorities for the organization, which we organized into themes. In order to accomplish our goals of making LESLLA a more sustainable organization and more accessible to educators worldwide, some revenue is needed.  Like other educational professional organizations, we are now offering paid membership to be a part of our listserv and to receive a discount when attending the annual symposium.
